Great Post By Michael A Robinson

http://thelordgodexists.com/2013/05/islam-stultifies-itself/

This web site by Michael A. Robinson is excellent. His recent article on Islam is outstanding and every Christian needs to read it and understand how to approach this false religion.

We not only need to be faithful witnesses ourselves but we need to pray for ministries such as this that it will be widely viewed and read by many.

Thank you Michael for your great work!!

If you enjoy nostalgia you will enjoy this today on Memorial Day!

There was a time long ago when things seemed so different than they are today. Today, it is fashionable to bash our country and to deride and denigrate western civilization. Kate Smith never had to worry about post-modernism, multi-culturalism, political correctness, feminism, pluralism, inclusivism, aggressive atheism, militant Islam, and a myriad of other crazy philosophies and anti-western world views. I am thankful for all of those who served our country and helped preserve the peace and blessings that we many times take for granted.

Have a great Memorial Day!

The Mystery Of God's Grace

This is a collection of hymns and poems that illustrate the mystery of God's grace. I pray that the special message of these great hymns and special poems will touch your heart and draw you nearer to our precious Lord. If you are blessed by this video, pass it on.  I give the Lord all the glory for His redeeming love that He has revealed to us in the mystery of His grace.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Robert L. Dickie

Constantinople- A City Subjugated By Islam

Constantinople was a great Christian city that was part of the Byzantine Empire that stood for over 1000 years. It fell to the Muslim armies in 1453. The great Christian Cathedral, Hagia Sophia, was converted into a mosque. This was not a peaceful or willing transformation. The city was taken by force and many of the citizens were killed, tortured, enslaved in harems, and others were forced to convert to Islam. A great read on this subject is The Cry From Constantinople. This book can be ordered through Amazon, iPhones, and Barnes And Noble (Nook).

This is a picture of the great Christian cathedral that was converted into a mosque. The terrible suffering of the Christians who defended their beloved city is recorded in this book.

Today we should be praying for Christians all over the world who are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ. The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church. Our faithfulness to Christ should take us where ever He leads and no matter the cost.

Am I a soldier of the cross,
A follower of the Lamb,
And shall I fear to own His cause,
Or blush to speak His name?

Must I be carried to the skies,
On flowery beds of ease,
While others fought to win the prize,
And sailed through bloody seas?

Are there no foes for me to  face?
Must I not stem the flood?
Is this vile world a friend to grace,
To help me on to God?

Sure I must fight, If I would reign;
Increase my courage, Lord,
I'll bear the toil, endure the pain,
Supported by Thy Word.

May we all pray for the spread of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dinner At The Higham's

When we were in Wales this past month we enjoyed a delightful time with the Higham's. It is always a blessing to share Christian fellowship with those who love the Lord. This brief video will show a little of the wonderful times we enjoy together in Christ. This was taken at Alun and Helen's home and we had a full house of guests to share a meal together. Heaven will be a wonderful place of fellowship around the Lamb of God.

Thank you Berean Family!

We are truly grateful for all the love and prayers from our family, friends, and our Berean family. I took Mary out to eat the day before her operation. We also walked around the motel and enjoyed the lovely flowers that the Lord has made. I thought of that wonderful hymn,

"This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world;
I rest me in the thought,
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas,
His hands the wonders wrought."

"God is our refuge and a very present help in time of trouble." Psalm 46:1

We do not know how to thank our church for all that they have done for us during these days. Please be assured of our prayers and deep heart felt gratitude.
"In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
I Thess. 5:18

I quoted Romans 8:28-39 to Mary before her operation and then listened to the hymn "In Christ Alone." What a wonderful way to prepare for these moments where our trust in God is our ultimate hope and joy. God bless you all!

Visiting Wales and Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones grave

Dewi Higham at the grave of Martyn Lloyd-Jones. We had a wonderful visit to this place and the fellowship with Dewi was precious. God bless our dear friends in Wales.

I would like to ask our Berean family to keep Mary and I in prayer as we leave Sunday for New York for her operation. Your kindness and thoughtfulness to us is deeply appreciated.

Every blessing,

Pastor Dickie
