We are so honored to have with us this week Pastor Ronald
Kalifungwa from Zambia, Africa. I have had the privilege to serve
with Ronald several times in Africa preaching at the African conferences in South Africa.
Ronald is a dear brother in Christ and a man of God. I ask all of you to come out this week and hear Ronald as he opens the Word of God in our midst. Here is a brother who has not compromised his doctrine or his worship to accommodate the culture in which he serves.
Ronald will be preaching on Sunday morning, Wednesday night, next Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, and then again on Sunday at our regular service. There will be a carry in dinner following the service on April 6th.
There will be several home meetings this week by invitation only focusing on many of our new members and visitors. A pastor and elders meeting will be held on Monday morning at Berean at 10:00 AM. Please pray for these services and make as many as you are able.
God is doing some wonderful things at Berean. Join in with all your heart and serve the Lord with gladness and with great joy!!
"The bottom line, I think, in the movement is that it is a denial of the clarity of Scripture. It is a denial that we can know what the Bible really says. And as I said, it’s amorphous because there’s a mish-mash of approaches to this and a mish-mash of styles and things like that. But they have embraced this mystery as if it’s true spirituality. And so, it becomes celebration of mystery, a celebration of ignorance, a celebration that we can’t really know. I think it’s just another form of liberalism. I think it’s just another form of denying the clarity of Scripture. And I think there’s a motive behind it…
What is so interesting about this movement is the Emerging Church sanctifies the culture. The Emerging church sanctifies the post-modern culture as if it is legitimate and says if we’re going to reach these people, we’ve got to become like these people. That’s never been the biblical way…never. The Bible does not change. It’s not a chameleon, it doesn’t shift and change and adapt to culture. It confronts culture. It confronts an aboriginal culture. It confronts an ancient culture. It confronts a modern culture. It confronts every trend with fixed unchanging truth in every situation. And the Emerging Church not only is unwilling to believe the clear statement of Scripture, but it’s unwilling to take the clear statement of Scripture and confront the culture. It wants to let the culture define what Christianity should be."

This morning (3-9-14) I was praying for our church family and was missing being at the worship service. I have been very ill with a viral infection and it has taken a lot longer to heal than I anticipated. I trust you all had a special time today in the Lord's house. You were all in my prayers.
I heard wonderful reports on the service and I'm very grateful that we have so many men who are able to teach and serve the lord in our midst. We are blessed indeed!
I put this brief video message together this morning for our church family. While I have been sick I have been busy working on some things that I trust will be a blessing to you spiritually. I want to thank you for your prayers, support, and love. I am humbled and grateful for our wonderful Berean family.
