Things You May Not Know About Islam

The fourth book in the series on Islam by Angelo Christopholos is now available.  "Things You May Not Know About Islam" is a book that every person should read to understand the true nature of this religion. In all the debates and discussions about the Islamic faith as to whether or not it is a religion of peace, whether or not most Muslims are moderate, whether or not Islam can be reformed, and whether or not we can defeat radical Islam are clarified in this book.

As a Christian pastor, I find that most discussions about Islam are missing the main point. In our world there are many different religions. All of these different religions claim that they have the truth. They cannot all be right. When comparing Christianity with Islam we must remember that someone is right and someone is wrong. Who speaks with authority?

I am appalled by the opinion of so many people who believe that Islam and Christianity are very similar and share common core values. Muslim apologists claim they believe in Jesus, the Bible, and many other Christian beliefs. Because of these shared beliefs we should be comforted and not alarmed by the Mosques and Islamic schools that are being built all over America. The truth is not being told by these religious leaders. Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God. Muslims do not believe that Jesus died on the cross. Muslims do not believe that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Muslims do not believe that the Bible today is without error. Muslims do not believe that Christians will go to paradise. Muslims do not believe in open and free discussion about the tenets and teachings of their own faith.

While Muslims in this country can protest, pray outside of our churches, build Mosques and Islamic schools, and use our freedoms  to undermine our freedoms, in Muslim countries it is forbidden to build churches, own Bibles, teach the Christian faith, or even dare to question the truth claims of Islam. In the Flint International airport there is a large sign as you enter the terminal from the arriving flights that says, "The Flint Islamic community welcomes you to Flint"  Could you imagine having a sign in the airport in Tehran or Baghdad, Cairo, or Damascus that said, "The Christian community welcomes you"?

Four Marines were killed several days ago by a Muslim who took the Koran literally and waged jihad against this country. It is time that Americans wake up and realize that there is a very serious problem that we are facing with this religion.

It is my joy and privilege to not only preach the gospel of Jesus Christ but also to defend the faith. It is my conviction that only the Christian faith can defend its truth claims and answer the tough questions that are raised about it integrity and truthfulness.

A Very Good Article by Jerry Marcellino on The Supreme Court's Decision

My Response to SCOTUS's Decision on Homosexual Marriage - June 26, 2015

I will remain on the RIGHT side of history WITH the God of History (Daniel 4:34-37) * Why? Seven reasons:

1. Because Truth is unchanged and unchanging (Ephesians 4:15).

2. Because God does not change (Malachi 3:6; Psalm 119:89).

3. Because Jesus is the embodiment of Truth (John 14:6).

4. Because God's Word is objective Truth (John 17:17).

5. Because the SCOTUS's decision will lead to further moral, domestic, and spiritual chaos in our nation (John 8:44-45; Romans 1:18-32).

6. Because the Gospel is still the answer for the sin of all mankind (John 3:16; Romans 1:16; Acts 5:29; 24:24-25; John 8:31-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Romans 5:20; 2 Timothy 4:1-5).

7. Because our Hope must always and only be in God (Romans 15:4, 13; Psalm 42:5,11; Matthew 16:18).

So, I will continue praying to my God for our whole nation. For: ...it's leaders, individuals, and families; ...this present generation and the ones to follow; ...and for All true gospel-preaching churches in this great nation, to be: …clear on the gospel, … courageous for Christ, …spiritually-healthy, …humble and loving, …unified around the truth, and …fearless in their faith toward God, and faithful until the end (Hebrews 10:23; 1 Peter 4:19).

Soli Deo Gloria!

Pastor Jerry Marcellino

(Habakkuk 3:2)

Thank you brother Jerry! The Lord will defend His people and promote the gospel of His Son. We must be sure we are all on the Lord's side. In eternity that is all that matters.
